Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. Her parents, who are a dental doctor and a school teacher, supported and encouraged her initial passion for drama and theatre. The initial goal of her of becoming a specialist in monkeys was eclipsed by her wish to pursue a degree in theater and drama. The actress became famous as a child actress quickly and achieved huge achievement. When she first began the acting profession, Tautou participated in Jeunes Premiers which was a French television show that sought to find talent which was a part of Canal+ in 1998. She also won Best Young Actress for the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, attended church as a young girl and was raised Catholic. She has now distanced herself with the Catholic tradition. In addition to acting, she pursued modelling and was the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. An avid photographer, she has recently exhibited at the Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. In her photographs, she focuses primarily on celebrity and the spotlight. Cameras are focused on journalists who examined her during her rise to the heights of fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her debut role as a lead character in The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie has been an international box office success and recognized at many awards events around the globe. It's the highest-grossing French film to be released in the United States. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in numerous movies ranging from British dramatics like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche of fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
